TradeR. Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: 13 September 2026

Welcome to the TradeR. platform, operated by TradeR. App (“we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the TradeR. mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).

By creating an account, accessing, or using TradeR., you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Platform.

1. The Nature of the Platform

TradeR. operates as a hybrid platform combining visual inspiration, a marketplace for professional services, and a catalogue for construction materials.

1.1 Platform Role: TradeR. is a facilitator. We provide a platform for homeowners and project managers (“Customers”) to discover, communicate with, and request quotes from tradespeople (“Artisans”) and material providers (“Suppliers”).

1.2 No Agency or Endorsement: We do not employ Artisans or Suppliers. Any contract or agreement formed for building work, trade services, or product purchases is strictly between the Customer and the Artisan/Supplier. While we enforce verification standards (see Section 3), we do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of the services or products provided.

1.3 Quotes, Contracts, and Platform Liability: TradeR. facilitates the communication of quotes and invoices between Artisans and Customers but is strictly not a party to any contract formed.

  • Liability for Quote Accuracy: The Artisan submitting a quote is solely responsible for the accuracy of the numerical amounts and attached documentation provided. TradeR. takes no accountability for discrepancies, errors, or variations.
  • Source of Truth: If an Artisan attaches a formal PDF/Document quote or invoice, that document serves as the formal legal agreement. Numerical amounts entered into the Platform's interface are for tracking and statistical purposes only and do not supersede the attached formal documentation.
  • No Verification of Values: TradeR. does not verify, guarantee, or endorse the pricing, scope of work, or terms outlined in any quote submitted through the Platform.
  • Invoicing and Payments: TradeR. is not a party to the financial transaction for building work or services. TradeR. is not liable for unpaid invoices, payment disputes, or debt collection. Payment terms are dictated strictly by the attached formal invoice document provided by the Artisan.

1.4 Third-Party Accounting Integrations (e.g., Xero):

  • Data Sharing & Availability: TradeR. may offer integrations with third-party accounting platforms (such as Xero) as available. If an Artisan chooses to integrate their account, accepting a quote from that Artisan will share your contact details (Name, Address, Email) with that third-party platform for the purpose of generating a formal invoice. TradeR. does not guarantee the continuous availability or real-time synchronization of these integrations.
  • Limitation of Liability for Accounting: TradeR. acts solely as a data conduit between the Platform and the third-party accounting software. The Artisan remains strictly liable for verifying tax rates (e.g., GST/VAT), invoice totals, and reconciling amounts. TradeR. is not responsible for accounting errors, missed payments, or tax penalties incurred through the use of these third-party integrations.

1.5 No Lead Guarantee: TradeR. provides a marketplace and matchmaking tools but does not guarantee a specific volume of leads, contracts, or income for subscribing Artisans and Suppliers. User success on the Platform depends on numerous factors outside of TradeR.'s control.

2. User Accounts and Tiers

2.1 Account Types: The Platform recognizes three primary user accounts: Customers, Artisans, and Suppliers. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

2.2 Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

2.3 Account Deletion and Data Retention: You may request the deletion of your account at any time via the Platform settings. Upon deletion, your personal identifying information (PII) including your name, email, phone number, and avatar will be permanently anonymized or erased in compliance with privacy laws. However, to maintain the integrity of historical financial records and comply with tax regulations, any chat threads, quote documents, or attached invoices shared with other users prior to deletion will be retained for the other party's records. Your identity on these historical records will be masked as "Deleted User".

3. Authenticity, Verification, and Anti-Fraud Standards

To maintain the high-end, architectural standard of TradeR., all Artisans and Suppliers are subject to strict authenticity guidelines.

3.1 Business and License Verification: Artisans and Suppliers must provide valid business identifiers (e.g., ABN) and relevant trade licenses. TradeR. reserves the right to verify this information against government and third-party databases.

3.2 Portfolio Authenticity: All photos, videos, and portfolio items uploaded by an Artisan or Supplier must accurately represent their own completed or in-progress work.

  • You may not upload images of projects you did not construct, design, or supply materials for, unless explicitly credited and permitted.
  • Work-In-Progress Requirements: TradeR. reserves the right to require "Work-in-Progress" (WIP) or "Behind the Scenes" media to verify the authenticity of a completed project.

3.3 Platform Generated AI Concepts & Quoting:

  • Privacy by Default: AI concepts generated and saved to a Customer's profile (which may contain imagery of personal residences) are kept strictly private. They will not be displayed on public profiles. Customers retain the right to explicitly share these concepts in private messages or quote requests to Artisans and Suppliers.
  • Watermarks and Metadata: Any image generated using TradeR.'s internal AI tools by Customers will be automatically embedded with invisible metadata and visual watermarks (e.g., "TradeR. AI Concept").
  • Transparent Quoting: When an AI-generated concept is shared with an Artisan for quoting purposes, TradeR. will strictly flag the image with an "[AI Generated Vision]" UI badge to ensure complete transparency that the image represents a concept, not an existing physical space.

3.4 Prohibition of AI-Generated Content in Portfolios: You may not upload AI-generated images, 3D renderings, or heavily manipulated media and present them as completed, physical projects in your TradeR. profile or portfolio.

  • Local EXIF Metadata Analysis: All portfolio uploads are subject to automated metadata screening. TradeR. parses device hardware tags within the EXIF data of uploaded imagery to establish its physical camera origin.
  • The "Work-In-Progress" Deterrent: If a primary 'Hero Shot' image lacks verifying hardware signatures (indicating potential AI generation or external software tampering), TradeR. will dynamically restrict the submission. Users will be strictly required to provide corresponding "Work-In-Progress" (WIP) or behind-the-scenes photography to prove earthly construction before the post is authorized.
  • Metadata Checks: Uploading images containing TradeR.-generated conceptual metadata and claiming them as authentic physical work is strictly prohibited.
  • Penalties: Portfolios found to consistently attempt to bypass these EXIF checks or upload undisclosed AI-generated imagery masquerading as real-world work will result in immediate account suspension or termination.
  • Authenticity Badges: Artisans may earn a premium [Verified Authentic] badge by consistently providing Work-in-Progress (WIP) photos or images containing verified EXIF hardware data establishing physical location attributes.

4. Content Ownership and Licensing

4.1 Your Content: You retain all ownership rights to the photographs, videos, text, and other materials you upload to TradeR. (“User Content”).

4.2 License to TradeR. App: By posting User Content, you grant TradeR. App a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sub-licensable, and transferable license to use, display, reproduce, distribute, and modify your content in connection with operating, promoting (including via external social media channels and marketing campaigns), and improving the Platform.

4.3 Curation Rights & Content Standards: TradeR. maintains a strict editorial standard. We reserve the right to remove, demote, or refuse to display any User Content that does not meet our visual, architectural, or community standards, without prior notice. By using the platform, you agree to abide by our Curated Content Standards and Image Upload Guidelines, which are incorporated herein by reference.

5. Subscriptions, Payments, and Transactions

5.1 Subscription Fees: Access to certain features for Artisans and Suppliers (such as receiving quote requests or product tagging) requires an active subscription. Subscription fees are billed on a recurring basis (e.g., monthly or annually).

5.2 Free Trials and "Foundation Cohort" Memberships: TradeR. may offer invite-only, promotional free trial periods (e.g., a 12-month "Foundation Cohort" membership).

  • At the conclusion of a free trial period, your account will temporarily lose access to premium features (like receiving new quote requests) until a valid payment method is provided and a paid subscription is initiated.
  • TradeR. will not automatically charge you at the end of a free trial if no payment method was provided at onboarding.

5.3 Payment Processing & Auto-Renewal: All subscription payments and in-app financial transactions are processed securely via our third-party payment gateway, Stripe. TradeR. does not directly store or process raw credit card data. By initiating a payment or subscription, you agree to comply with Stripe’s Checkout and Billing Terms of Service. Subscriptions will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled prior to the renewal date via your account settings.

5.4 Refund Policy: To the maximum extent permitted by law, TradeR. subscriptions are strictly non-refundable for the current billing period. Cancelling a subscription will revoke future renewals, but you will retain access to premium features until the end of your paid billing cycle.

5.5 Circumvention: Once a Customer and Artisan/Supplier are connected via TradeR., attempting to circumvent the Platform to process payments externally (to avoid applicable platform fees or commissions) is a violation of these Terms and may result in a permanent ban.

6. Ratings and Reviews

6.1 Invoice-Locked Reviews: To maintain the integrity of our platform, TradeR. operates an "Invoice-Locked" review system. You may only submit a rating and review for an Artisan or Supplier if you have completed a formal financial transaction (i.e., successfully paid a verified invoice) with them through the Platform.

6.2 Unidirectional Feedback: The review system is unidirectional. Customers may review Artisans and Suppliers based on the quality of their craftsmanship and service. Artisans and Suppliers do not have a reciprocal right to publicly review Customers on the Platform.

6.3 Content of Reviews: All reviews must represent genuine, firsthand experiences. TradeR. reserves the right to remove reviews that contain hate speech, dox personal information, violate our Prohibited Conduct guidelines, or are proven to be extortive. However, TradeR. is not responsible for mediating factual disputes regarding the contents of a review.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or stolen portfolio content.
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users, including sending spam, unsolicited promotional material, or inappropriate content via TradeR.'s in-app messaging system.
  • Scrape, data-mine, or extract images from the Platform for external use without authorization.
  • Interfere with the security or operation of the Platform.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TradeR. App, its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of:

  • Any dispute between Customers and Artisans/Suppliers regarding project completion, quality, or defects.
  • Reliance on any visual inspiration or portfolio imagery found on the Platform.
  • The failure of any Artisan or Supplier to hold valid insurance or licenses, despite our verification efforts.

9. Dispute Resolution

9.1 User Disputes: In the event of a dispute between a Customer and an Artisan/Supplier regarding a project, TradeR. is not obligated to mediate. Users must resolve disputes directly or through relevant localized building tribunals or consumer protection agencies. 9.2 Platform Disputes: Any dispute arising between you and TradeR. App shall be governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.

10. Modifications to the Terms

We may revise these Terms occasionally. We will notify you of any material changes via the App or email. Continued use of TradeR. after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
